ANNA HARSANYI-ZORANDY

Growing up between different countries and cultures has shaped the way I experience identity, belonging, and social structures. My work emerges from personal experiences of movement, adaptation, and transformation, but aims to connect these experiences to broader questions about the body, communication, and human interaction.

I am a multidisciplinary artist working with performance, installation, painting, experimental collage, mixed mediums and wearable sound wear, I am interested in how physical materials can reveal invisible tensions, emotions, and systems. Through movement, sound, and interaction, I explore moments where control breaks down and new forms of connection become possible.

I see art as a way to investigate the relationship between personal experience and collective realities. My practice is driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a desire to create situations that invite reflection, discomfort, play, and dialogue.

MANIFESTO

Art is a way to confront, re-shape, and re-imagine alternative realities. My work emerges from friction, between body and environment.. I am interested in moments of transformation. I'm most intrigued by the messy process of becoming. I investigate how the body carries memory, tension, resistance, and desire. I use my body as a tool to expose invisible systems. I seek presence. I seek intensity. I seek honesty. I believe the body remembers what institutions forget. I believe vulnerability can be a form of resistance.
